About the Artist

My name is Dawn Spurgeon. I am known to paint beautiful landscapes, mountains, animals, flowers and pets. I specialize in painting custom pet portraits. To extend my diversity, I create custom native beadwork, which consists of beaded medallions, beaded lanyard keychains, beaded earrings, keychains, beaded lanyards for keys, ID passes, beaded hair barrettes, drone remote straps and feather hair ties just to name a few.

Since I was young, I had always wanted to learn how to draw and explore painting. I owe my artistic abilities to my beloved mother who had always loved to draw.

As a native artist, I have dedicated precious time to my craft and I'm constantly seeking new and innovative ways to master my skill. I love being creative, while creating custom unique pieces for my clients.

My Mediums of Choice

My preferred medium is Acrylic, which I love working with because it is essential in my creations on canvas, especially when it comes to applying them on the canvas with the right consistency when the colours smoothly blends together. As an artist, also enjoy and experimenting and working with modeling paste, which adds texture and amazing, incredible dimensions to the piece. I prefer painting in realism. I gather most of my inspirations from the surrounding scenery or while traveling, which is how i create such beautiful spectacle visuals from my perspective. my art is unique, as i take note to great details to capture the beauty and perfect the realism in my paintings.
